Swissquote Launches New AI Infrastructure Investment Theme, giving investors exposure to essential AI infrastructure opportunities
Swissquote has introduced a new investment theme called AI Infrastructure, signaling its strategic move to capitalize on the rapidly expanding artificial intelligence ecosystem. The launch reflects the firm’s focus on the underlying systems that enable AI growth rather than the increasingly crowded field of software developers. As competition among AI software companies intensifies, Swissquote aims to provide investors with exposure to the physical infrastructure that underpins AI operations, enabling them to run efficiently.
According to the firm, the new theme deliberately shifts attention away from high-profile software firms and toward the essential infrastructure supporting them. Swissquote stated, “To avoid the inevitable battle between the software darlings driving the AI boom, Swissquote is headed off-piste.” The firm emphasized that long-term value may lie in foundational components such as data centers, cooling technologies, and energy supply systems.
Consequently, the theme focuses on businesses that build and maintain the environments required for large-scale AI deployment. Moreover, Swissquote highlighted that modern AI systems demand enormous and continuous computing power. Therefore, the investment theme targets companies capable of securing reliable base-load electricity for round-the-clock data center operations. Additionally, it considers firms that manage the high-voltage requirements of GPU racks and those developing advanced cooling solutions.
The firm noted that traditional air conditioning is no longer sufficient because heat output from advanced systems now exceeds 100kW in many cases. Furthermore, the theme includes enterprises enabling modular infrastructure buildouts and high-speed networking components that connect thousands of GPUs into what Swissquote describes as a “super-factory.” By focusing on these physical enablers, the firm believes investors can gain more stable exposure to AI’s long-term expansion regardless of which software platforms ultimately dominate the market.
Swissquote also clarified the product structure and noted that it issues the AI Infrastructure offering as a Swiss Uncertificated Security under Swiss law. The product has no fixed maturity date, and the issuer will redeem it once the investor exercises the termination right or the issuer decides to terminate it. Through this launch, Swissquote continues to broaden its thematic investment lineup while positioning itself at the core of the AI infrastructure boom.
