XTB expands global reach through FIBA partnership, boosting brand visibility, fan engagement, and promoting financial education worldwide
XTB SA has expanded its global sports marketing strategy by entering into a new partnership with FIBA, the world governing body for basketball. The agreement, which runs until December 2027, signals a notable step in strengthening FIBA’s commercial ecosystem ahead of two major international tournaments, including the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 and the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027.
Under the terms of the partnership, XTB will support the global qualifiers for the 2027 tournament. Moreover, the company will take on the role of presenting sponsor for the European Qualifiers, beginning with the third competition window scheduled from June 29 to July 7, 2026. This phase represents the first major activation milestone in the collaboration and sets the tone for future joint initiatives.
In addition, XTB plans to enhance fan engagement by offering exclusive experiences to its users. These include behind-the-scenes access to events as well as opportunities for selected participants to step onto official basketball courts in key host cities such as Berlin and Doha. Through these initiatives, the company aims to create a deeper connection between its platform and global basketball audiences. Furthermore, XTB intends to leverage FIBA’s flagship events to promote financial literacy and investment awareness.
By integrating digital campaigns with sports entertainment, the company seeks to align financial education with the excitement of international basketball. CEO Omar Arnaout stated that the partnership will combine financial empowerment with one of the world’s most popular sports, allowing fans to engage with both investing and basketball simultaneously.
Meanwhile, FIBA officials also welcomed the collaboration. Frank Leenders highlighted that XTB’s involvement will strengthen global fan engagement while reinforcing the federation’s commercial growth. He emphasized that basketball shares key values such as strategy and resilience, which closely align with smart investing principles. XTB, listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, currently serves more than 2.1 million clients worldwide and offers a wide range of financial products, including stocks, ETFs, CFDs, and long-term investment solutions. Additionally, the company continues to expand its sports presence through partnerships and high-profile ambassadors such as Zlatan Ibrahimović, further reinforcing its global brand visibility.
