Robinhood launches AI agents for automated trading, personalized strategies, market research, and smarter investing within its app.
Robinhood has announced Robinhood Agents, a new AI-powered feature that allows customers to create personalized agents for market research, strategy development, and automated trading directly inside the Robinhood app. The launch expands the company’s earlier agentic trading offering and aims to make AI-assisted investing more accessible to everyday users.
Several months after introducing agentic trading, Robinhood said more than 150,000 customers have opened agentic trading accounts. In addition, AI agents now use Robinhood’s tools nearly 30 million times each day. However, the company has now moved the experience directly into its application, removing the need for users to connect external AI systems.
“With safety and security at its core, we’re setting the standard for what agentic finance can be,” said Abhishek Fatehpuria, VP of Product Management at Robinhood. He added, “Whether you’re an expert or are just getting started with AI, you’re at a disadvantage if you’re not using Robinhood.” Users can create an agent by selecting a name, opening a dedicated agentic account, and choosing an AI model from several leading providers, including OpenAI. Robinhood said users can then define trading strategies and establish limits before allowing their agents to operate.
Moreover, usage of OpenAI GPT-Luna will remain free through the end of the year. Robinhood Agents will provide access to market data and portfolio information, while customers can also activate additional tools through the company’s Agent Apps. These services include options analytics, investor sentiment, crypto data, weather intelligence, satellite imagery, social-market signals, and government activity tracking. Robinhood said participating services will offer one-month free trials.
Meanwhile, Robinhood plans to introduce Loops, which will allow users to turn individual strategies into recurring instructions that agents can execute continuously. The company also emphasized safety controls, including dedicated account funding and manual trade approval, which remains enabled by default. Beyond AI trading, Robinhood is preparing several additional products. Pending regulatory review, the company plans to expand weekend trading for selected U.S. stocks and ETFs.
It also plans to introduce perpetual futures for eligible U.S. customers, covering assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, Dogecoin, Cardano, Chainlink, and HYPE. Additionally, Robinhood will launch earnings contracts through Cboe, allowing eligible customers to trade binary contracts linked to company-specific financial milestones. Finally, Robinhood Social will become available to all eligible U.S. customers, adding chart-sharing, portfolio updates, profit-and-loss posts, live earnings features, and market commentary.
