eToro Launches UAE Economy Smart Portfolio offering diversified access to ADX and DFM stocks with attractive dividends.
eToro has expanded its regional investment offerings by launching the new UAE-Economy Smart Portfolio, a move that strengthens access to the United Arab Emirates’ fast-growing capital markets. Through this portfolio, retail investors can now gain diversified exposure to leading companies listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange and Dubai Financial Market, while benefiting from a structured, long-term investment approach.
According to eToro, the launch reflects the UAE’s rising profile as a global investment destination. George Naddaf, Managing Director of eToro MENA, emphasized the market’s strong fundamentals, stating, “The UAE is one of the fastest-expanding economies in the world, supported by strong GDP growth, government reform, and growing non-oil sectors.” He further noted that domestic firms, especially in banking, telecommunications, and energy, continue to attract investors due to dividend yields that often rank among the highest in emerging markets. Moreover, the portfolio arrives as regional exchanges gain momentum.
Naddaf highlighted this trend by adding, “Dubai’s and Abu Dhabi’s exchanges are quickly becoming leading capital markets in the Middle East with increased foreign participation and growing liquidity.” As a result, eToro aims to open these opportunities to a wider audience, allowing investors both within the UAE and internationally to participate in the country’s long-term economic expansion. The UAE-Economy Smart Portfolio includes 20 prominent UAE-listed companies covering banking, real estate, energy, utilities, telecommunications, and logistics. By design, the portfolio spreads risk across sectors and maintains relatively low correlation with Western markets.
In addition, eToro manages the portfolio through annual or on-demand rebalancing, depending on evolving market conditions. Each constituent stock meets strict criteria based on market capitalization, liquidity, financial performance, and analyst consensus. Notably, the portfolio delivers an average dividend yield of around 3.75%, with some holdings reaching yields as high as 7%. This figure compares favorably to the S&P 500’s current dividend yield of approximately 1.15%, enhancing its appeal for income-focused investors.
Meanwhile, national initiatives such as UAE Vision 2031 and Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 continue to accelerate economic development, further supporting capital market growth. Through its Smart Portfolios, eToro provides themed, long-term investment solutions with diversified exposure. Investors can start with a minimum of USD 500, track performance using integrated tools and charts, and stay informed through eToro’s social feed, ensuring transparency and engagement throughout their investment journey.
