Webull launch of 24-hour trading services in Australia marks a significant move, offering round-the-clock trading options for Australian traders. This expansion, announced on Friday, will initially cover trading for more than 60 popular US stocks and ETFs, including giants like Tesla, Nvidia, Microsoft, Amazon, and Google, as well as prominent ETFs such as SPY and QQQ.

Rob Talevski, CEO of Webull Australia, highlighted the significance of this move, stating, “Traditionally, US market hours made trading the world’s largest capital market a challenging task for us here in Australia, which has been a deterrent for those seeking international equity exposure.”

The introduction of 24-hour trading aims to bridge this gap, enabling Australian traders to actively engage in trading activities during Australian business hours and beyond, taking advantage of pre and post-market volatility in the US market. This move is expected to empower traders to react promptly to significant market developments, macro events, or crucial company news.

Webull’s expansion doesn’t stop here; the platform is actively pursuing entry into various international markets. Currently, it’s in discussions with South Korean regulators to gain approval, potentially becoming the first foreign firm in the country’s stock trading industry.

With the rise of around-the-clock trading becoming the norm, Webull’s move follows a broader trend in the financial industry. Interactive Brokers recently extended trading hours for US Treasury bonds, reflecting the increasing demand for flexibility and accessibility in trading markets globally.

Webull’s 24-hour trading availability in Australia spans from 10:00 to 17:58 AEST, Monday through Friday, enabling order execution beyond typical US market hours. Additionally, trades settle promptly the next day, enhancing convenience for investors.

Talevski emphasized, “We’ve designed the Webull Australia platform to optimize the online trading experience, both for experienced investors and those new to the market, and the launch of 24-hour trading is simply an extension of these efforts.”
