OANDA Japan adjusts Turkish Lira trading hours to enhance stability and liquidity during more active European market sessions.
OANDA Japan Adjusts Trading Hours as it announces a significant update for Turkish Lira (TRY) currency pairs. Beginning August 11, 2025, the trading schedule for TRY/JPY, EUR/TRY, and USD/TRY will undergo a shift that aligns more closely with European trading hours.
Previously, trading ran from Monday at 7:05 AM to Saturday at 6:59 AM under US Standard Time, and from Monday at 6:05 AM to Saturday at 5:59 AM during US Daylight Saving Time. However, under the new schedule, trading will occur Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM the following day (Central European Standard Time) and from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM the next day (Central European Summer Time).
This decision comes amid ongoing market volatility and uncertainty surrounding the Turkish Lira, which has seen inconsistent liquidity and price stability, particularly during Asian early morning trading sessions.
By transitioning to a European time frame, OANDA aims to provide traders with more reliable pricing and better overall conditions. Moreover, the firm emphasized that it will maintain vigilant oversight of the TRY market and keep its clients informed of any further developments.
OANDA Japan’s move reflects a proactive approach to adapt to shifting market conditions and demonstrates its commitment to offering stable trading environments. While the TRY continues to face turbulence in global currency markets, OANDA’s revised trading structure seeks to mitigate risks and uphold trading integrity.
In Conclusion, OANDA Japan’s adjustment aims to enhance trading stability by aligning hours with periods of higher liquidity. The broker remains committed to monitoring conditions and updating clients promptly.
