IC Markets will introduce dynamic leverage for US stock trading starting 20 June 2025. The update aims to enhance risk management and ensure trading stability by automatically adjusting leverage during the US session based on a fixed schedule.

Starting 15 minutes after the session opens at 16:50 server time, the system sets the leverage at 1:20. One hour before the market closes, at 21:55, leverage will be reduced to 1:10. Finally, during the last 15 minutes before the session ends at 22:40, it will drop to 1:5. These adjustments will remain in effect for the entire US session, which runs from 16:35 to 22:55 server time. This dynamic leverage will apply not only to newly opened trades but also to all existing positions during the specified timeframes.

As a result, traders will need to monitor their margin levels closely throughout the session. IC Markets explained that the new mechanism responds to typical spikes in volatility during market open and close times, which often experience sudden price movements. By automatically altering leverage throughout the session, the company aims to reduce potential exposure and provide a more controlled trading environment.

This adjustment reflects the broker’s continuous efforts to align its risk strategies with global market behavior. Additionally, the broker highlighted that the system will automatically apply these changes, eliminating the need for any manual updates by clients. As the global trading environment continues to evolve, IC Markets’ move signals a forward-thinking approach to maintaining client confidence while adapting to market dynamics. With the introduction of dynamic leverage, the firm reinforces its reputation for prioritizing responsible trading practices without compromising flexibility.

In Conclusion, with the launch of dynamic leverage, IC Markets reinforces its commitment to responsible and adaptive trading practices. The update offers clients a more secure and controlled trading experience.
