eToro has launched a recurring investments feature for users in the UK, Europe, and the UAE, aiming to simplify long-term investing and encourage consistent contributions. This new feature allows users to automate repeat purchases of stocks, ETFs, and cryptoassets at regular intervals, eliminating the need for manual transactions and saving investors valuable time.

eToro automates the investment process to help users stick to their financial goals and avoid market influence. The platform’s Retail Investor Beat survey, which included responses from 10,000 retail investors across 12 countries, revealed that 45% of participants prefer recurring investments because they allow consistent investing based on affordability.

Meanwhile, 41% cited ease and time-saving benefits, 29% wanted to avoid the stress of market timing, and 25% appreciated the dollar-cost averaging benefits that help reduce the average purchase price of an asset.

Tuval Chomut, Chief Solutions Officer at eToro, stated, “The launch of recurring investments is the latest example of eToro’s commitment to expanding its long-term investing offering. The feature is designed to help investors reduce the impact of volatility by maintaining a consistent investment strategy, regardless of market fluctuations.” Available to eligible users in the UK, Europe, and the UAE, the feature supports investment amounts starting at $25, with a maximum of $5,000 per transaction and a monthly cap of $25,000.

As users adopt eToro’s recurring investments, they can budget more easily. The feature is available in the UK, UAE, and many European countries, with expansion planned. In the Netherlands, users can set up recurring buys for stocks and ETFs, with crypto coming soon. eToro also added portfolio tools and GBP/EUR accounts to help users reduce currency fees.

While the recurring feature is broadly available, it excludes ETFs in Switzerland and crypto in Belgium and the UAE. Furthermore, it does not apply to CFDs, SmartPortfolios, or CopyTrading. Nevertheless, positions opened through recurring investments in stocks, ETFs, or cryptoassets remain free from commission fees, offering users a cost-effective way to invest over time.
