Clearstream Collaborates with Carlyle to Broaden Private Markets

Clearstream collaborates with Carlyle to expand access to Carlyle’s open-ended private markets solutions for wealth management clients through a strategic partnership. This initiative aims to simplify the distribution of private market funds while enhancing the investor experience, increasing efficiency, and reducing operational costs. 

By leveraging Clearstream Fund Services’ advanced distribution infrastructure, Carlyle gains access to over 300 distribution partners, including major global wealth managers. These partners span key regions such as Switzerland, Germany, and Asia Pacific. The collaboration intends to ease the complexities that often accompany private market fund distribution and to support wealth managers in offering these investments to their clients. 

Clearstream has developed a full range of services across the private markets investment lifecycle, covering order routing, settlement, and asset servicing. The company holds approximately €4 trillion in traditional funds and €300 billion in private and alternative funds under custody.

Its integrated platform, which includes regulatory-compliant frameworks for KYC and distribution oversight, plays a central role in making private markets more accessible. Clearstream’s Vestima platform further streamlines fund order processing, helping to eliminate traditional barriers to entry for private markets investing. This partnership adds Carlyle to Clearstream’s expanding roster of leading General Partners and asset managers. 

Both companies emphasize their shared goal of broadening investor access to alternative investments.
