Capitolis acquires Capitalab from BGC Group for $46 million. This strategic acquisition will enhance Capitolis’ portfolio of solutions and accelerate innovation in response to the growing demands of the capital markets. 

The deal marks a significant step for Capitolis, which has seen impressive growth in recent years. Over the past year, the company launched several new products and expanded its global network. By adding Capitalab, which specializes in Rates Portfolio Compression and Margin Optimization, Capitolis will further strengthen its position in the market and broaden its reach to more financial institutions. 

Gil Mandelzis, CEO and Founder of Capitolis expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, emphasizing the importance of portfolio compression and margin optimization for the capital markets. “These services, when executed effectively, play a critical role in the stability and efficiency of the financial system. Capitolis Acquires Capitalab for $46 Million Expansion

Capitalab’s Founder and CEO, Gavin Jackson, welcomed the merger, stating that joining forces with Capitolis would allow both companies to combine their strengths and deliver even greater value to clients. “We are excited to collaborate with Capitolis, as this partnership will empower us to provide superior service while keeping our clients’ needs at the forefront,” Jackson said. He will join Capitolis’ executive team following the acquisition.

This deal follows significant investment in Capitolis from major global financial institutions such as Citi, Morgan Stanley, State Street, and UBS. It also builds on the company’s 2021 acquisition of LMRKTS, further solidifying Capitolis’ growing influence in the financial optimization space. 

With Capitalab’s expertise added, Capitolis is poised to offer a broader suite of solutions and continue expanding into key financial markets globally.
