Capital.com appoints a new CEO and introduces a regional leadership model to drive market growth and innovation.
Capital.com introduces a regional leadership model to boost growth and innovation across key regulated markets. The move, approved by the company’s Board of Directors in Q1 2024, is part of Capital.com’s broader strategy to drive sustainable expansion while maintaining strong risk management and operational efficiency across its global operations.
Under the new structure, Capital.com will assign an individual CEO to manage each region, allowing for a more localized approach to business strategy and operations. This shift aligns with the company’s vision of offering a tailored, tech-driven trading platform that meets each market’s needs and regulatory requirements.
In line with this regionalization, Capital.com has promoted Christoforos Soutzis, who has been with the company for eight years, to CEO of Capital Com SV Investments Limited (Capital.com Europe) in Limassol, Cyprus.
Previously, the Group’s Head of Operations, Soutzis, oversaw the strategic direction of the European business, ensuring seamless daily operations while upholding strict compliance with legal and operational standards. Soutzis expressed excitement about the new role, saying, “I am honored to take up this new role at Capital.com. I have seen the company grow significantly, and I’m eager to help lead it into its next phase of innovation and customer-focused growth.”
Kypros Zoumidou, who has served as CEO of Capital.com globally for nearly three years, will step down but remain with the company in a strategic advisory capacity. Zoumidou reflected on his tenure, stating, “I’m proud of the role I’ve played in Capital.com’s growth, and I have full confidence in the new leadership structure to continue our success.”
The reshuffle follows Capital.com’s impressive financial performance in the first half of 2024. The company reported a 35% increase in net revenue and a 63% rise in new user accounts compared to the previous period. The regional CEO appointments are in place: Rupert Osborne for the UK, Tarik Chebib for MENA, and Campbell MacPherson for Australia—Capital. Com is positioning itself to drive further expansion and market penetration in key regions.
