Bank of America partners with sports icon, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Sir David Beckham, confirming that he will serve as an ambassador for its worldwide sports program, Sports with Us. The bank now positions this collaboration as a major step in strengthening its global sports presence, and it actively highlights Beckham’s role in promoting its entire sports partnership portfolio.
Moreover, the initiative aims to drive progress, celebrate achievement, and uplift communities while placing sports at the center of long-term social impact. Bank of America emphasized that Sports with Us reflects its investment philosophy built around inspiring, connecting, and positively influencing communities through sports.
Sir David expressed his enthusiasm by stating, “Sport has the power to bring people together and to create a lasting impact on young people and communities all over the world.” He further added, “I’ve seen firsthand how programmes such as Sports with Us make real change and allow access and opportunities that are vital in our communities.” Additionally, he praised the bank’s leadership by saying, “I applaud Brian Moynihan and his team’s long-term plans to use sports as a vehicle for change,” while noting that the collaboration inspired him to reflect on his own work with organizations such as UNICEF. He concluded by asserting, “I am proud to partner with Bank of America to extend this work and use my platform to shine a light on their incredible and impactful Sports with Us programming.”
Furthermore, the bank confirmed that Sports with Us builds on its long-standing sports partnerships and expands efforts to promote well-being, participation, and opportunity for young people across the U.S., while also generating significant economic benefits. Beginning in 2026, Bank of America will actively support major global sporting events such as the FIFA World Cup 26, the Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America, the Masters Tournament, the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, and the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
David Tyrie, President of Marketing, Digital and Specialized Consumer Client Solutions, reinforced the bank’s confidence in the partnership by stating, “Sir David’s work to support communities around the world and his passion for helping others excel, achieve, and participate in sports are second to none.” He added, “With Sir David’s help, we’ll accelerate change and invest where it matters most.”
The collaboration is facilitated through Authentic Brands Group, co-owner and manager of Beckham’s brand, while Authentic Live will handle event delivery across key U.S. sports events, ensuring seamless integration throughout the bank’s programming.
