Euroclear has announced the appointment of Kristof Macours as its new Group General Counsel and Division Head of the Legal and Corporate Secretariat. The appointment marks a pivotal step for Euroclear, aiming to strengthen its legal and corporate governance framework.
Macours brings experience and knowledge to his new role. Before this appointment, he served as Group Company Secretary at Euroclear, where he played a crucial role in overseeing the company’s corporate governance activities. Furthermore, his previous experience includes serving as Head of Legal at BNP Paribas Fortis and as Deputy General Counsel at BNP Paribas Group, where he led legal teams and managed complex issues across the organization.
Furthermore, under Mr. Macours’ leadership, integrating the Legal division and the Corporate Secretariat will enhance Euroclear’s legal and corporate governance functions’ efficiency and effectiveness.
